Through her next three albums, Red (2012) 1989 (2004) and Reputation (2017), the popularity of Swift grew, and she became part of a world of pop music in which it became clear she belonged. However, even when she reduced her approach with 2020's stripped-down siblings' folklore and Evermore she continued to be atop of the charts, a place that she maintained through re-recordings from her earlier catalog, as well as Midnights the top charting synth heavy 2022 set.
