Dolly-Parton
Born on Jan. 19th of 1946, in Locust Ridge Tenn into a poor family that would eventually comprise 12 kids Dolly Parton learned early to escape the hardships of life by using her vivid and broad imagination. Even before learning to read or write and compose her own music. At the age of 8, she got the first electric guitar she owned and began to sing at a Knoxville Tenn Radio Station. Her first album was recorded during the same year on Gold Band Records, a small independent label. While she was popular in the local scene while she was at high school, her dreams were bigger. After she finished her high school, in 1964 she moved to Nashville. Dumb Blonde was her first album to be charted for the first time on Monument Records. Porter Wagoner, a syndicated television show host at the time, was in search for a girl to sing on his show. Parton took the offer in 1967 and signed to RCA Records in 1968 and was a part of the Grand Ole Opry in 1969. She quit Wagoner's act in 1974 when her solo songs such as Joshua Coat of Many Colors and Jolene outsold the collaborations. Parton composed "I will Always Be Loving You" to Wagoner soon after their split. It was ranked No. In 1974, Parton's song"I Will Never Love You reached No.
