Arianna Huffington

Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington (Greek American) is a Greek American writer, syndicated-columnist and businesswoman. She was the founder of The Huffington Post and the director of Thrive Global. Author of fifteen books. Arianna Huffington is an independent liberal news website has a TV personality, author, and philanthropist. Her move to Greece to England when she was 16 years old, and obtained a MA in Economics from Cambridge University in Economics. The first graduate from outside the UK to become the president of The Cambridge Union at the age of 21. Her popularity as a conservative journalist was further consolidated when she graduated. When the Huffington Post was launched The Huffington Post a few years later, she created an online platform for voice that gave critical opinions on the political situation. The fame she gained enabled her to get a variety of stars to voice their views about current affairs, as well as politics and culture. Arianna's fame started in 2003, after she became an independent candidate for the California recall election to succeed then-Governor Davis. She was also involved in the Detroit-based initiative that advocated for fuel-efficient automobiles. In 2009, she was ranked by Forbes as The most influential women in media gaining 12th position on their list. The same year Guardian named her to the top 100 list of media. AOL, Inc. made her the President of their media division in 2011, after they acquired The Huffington Post. The Huffington Post included the other AOL brands like Engadget, AOLmusic Style list or Patch Media. Their parents are Elli and Konstantinos Stasinopoulos, who was a consultant in management as well as a journalist. Her character was formed by her closeness to her mother and her bond with her father, despite being extremely close to her father. At a young age, she displayed the qualities of a leader for which she's still known. When she was in her 16th year she travelled to England for a degree and attended Girton College Cambridge. She enrolled in the Cambridge Union college debate society while in college in which she became the third and first female to be elected the president. In 1972, she graduated with the degree of Master's in Economics. Following her degree, she was a columnist-critic and TV host. She appeared alongside Bernard Levin on an edition Face the music, and she began to write her own books with his assistance.
