Anna Silk was the first child of Peter Silk (an academic) and Ilkay Silk (a writer, actor, director, producer as well as a teacher in St. Thomas University). Her father hails from Britain as does her mother, who is the "Turkish ex-pat from Cyprus who is now living in England."
