Deepika Padukone
Deepika Padukone (pronounced [di:pIka p@dUko:ne (pronounced [pa:dUkoBorn 5 January 1986) is an Indian actress who works predominantly in Hindi films. Padukone is among the most highly paid actresses in India with her accomplishments that are the three Filmfare Awards. Time Magazine named Padukone one of the top 100 individuals with influence around the world in 2018. They also gave her an award called the TIME100 Impact Award 2022. Padukone had the honor of being the youngest daughter to tennis champ Prakash Padukone. Padukone was born in and grew up in Bangalore. She was a badminton player at national tournaments in her teens, but decided to quit for the sake of becoming a model. In 2006 Padukone made her debut as an actress in the Kannada movie Aishwarya. Padukone was then cast in the double part of Shah Rukh Khan opposite her in Om Shanti Om (2007) the debut Bollywood release. The film was awarded Padukone her the Filmfare Award Best Female Debut. Padukone was recognized for her part as the main character in Love Aaj Kal, but the film suffered a minor fallout.
